THE UPFA CHIEF ORGANIZER OF KOLONNAWA: MR.DUMINDHA SILVA CELEBRATED THE HISTORIC VICTORY
The UPFA chief organizer of Kolonnawa: Mr. Dumindha Silva met the war heroes at all road blocks over the Colombo district and wished them, celebrating the historic victory over the cruel war against LTTE, under the brave leadership of The President H.E Mahinda Rajapakshe. THE DEVELOPMENT WORK I CARRIED OUT UNDER THE "MAHINDA CHINTHANAYA" PROGRAM.
I have provided shelter for many under_privileged families in the Colombo District. This program would be further expanded, under “Jana Sevana” program incorporated in the Mahinda Chinthanaya, with the launching of a scheme to build 25,000 houses in the Western Province for the under_privileged. New houses would be handed over to the needy especially to the slum dwellers with a view to uplift the standard of living of our very own people who reside in a socially unacceptable environment. With the implementation of this program I would be able to convert these slums/shanties into high rise apartments and housing schemes. This will not only address the huge social disparity but also help to uplift the living standards of people and beautify the environs of the entire Western Province thus enabling the Western Province to exploit and reap benefits from the massive development boom the country would go through with the impending liberation of the entire country from terrorism in a few more days.
